5 Important Questions We've Answered For Our Customers (#4 is Our Favorite)

Posted by Janna on 13th Aug 2021

America is a little late to the party when it comes to bidets so many of us don’t even know how to pronounce bidet, let alone all of the many benefits of a bidet. Let’s start with pronunciation. We like to answer with our full brand name in an accent our mates in Australia use, because it is fun to say this way! Here’s some “instructional videos” to make you an expert:

Inspired by Crocodile Dundee

Only with a BidetMate two dunnies aren’t necessary!

You have a bidet

Nope, it’s a BidetMate!

We’ve got a BidetMate

It’s made for your down under!

Now that you know how to pronounce BidetMate, let’s get down to the nitty gritty questions and answers we promised.

1.  Is a bidet or smart toilet sanitary?

As demonstrated in the video above, cleaning with water is better than wiping with toilet paper. GastroenterologistPartha Nandi says, "While the use of toilet paper does not ensure cleanliness in the restroom, bidets can prevent UTIs by offering a refreshing and sanitary way to remove bacteria and ensure the spread of bacteria does not occur."

2.  Is a BidetMate easy to install?

Yes, watch these 8 easy steps for installing the BidetMate 2000 series with panel:

3.  Does a BidetMate have a blow dryer?

Yes both our 1000 and 2000 series models have dryers with multiple settings.

4.  Who is a bidet for?

Can my child use the BidetMate? Yes.

Can I use a BidetMate to help me after I have shoulder surgery? Yes.

Can my mother with dementia use the BidetMate? Yes.

I’m 5’ 3” and my husband is 6’ 3”. Can we both use the BidetMate?

In short, it doesn’t matter who you are, washing with water is easier and more efficient than trying to get clean with toilet paper.
