4 Reasons Stress is Affecting Your Poop

How Does Stress Affects Your Poop?
Has stress ever interfered with your ability to poop? Why does this happen? When your gut’s enteric nervous system (ENS) gets signals from the brain’s central nervous system, it regulates the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. But when you’re feeling stressed, agitated, annoyed, or scared, these chemical messengers can make your GI tract go wild. Think: constipation or diarrhea.
Ever had the urge to go number two, sit on the toilet, and nothing happens? You are not alone, and this condition is often caused by stress. Many people need to go, and try desperately to make it happen, only to be left disappointed, stressed, and uncomfortable, then they were before.
Some people try to talk themselves into going when they are having trouble. This is called “self-talk.” You may not realize it, but your self-talk may be sabotaging your stress levels! Self-talk—the way your inner voice makes sense of the world around you and the way you communicate with your inner self—can greatly affect your stress levels in multiple ways. This includes your ability to “go.” When the mood to poop arises, and there is trouble afoot, a bidet can be a wonderful tool with helping speed the process along. Light water pressure pulsating on the anus can assist in stimulating defecation.
Not being able to poop when you want to when stressed is a terrible feeling. Unfortunately, some people have the opposite problem...stress-induced diarrhea. If your poop has ever acted up when you’re feeling under pressure, you’ve probably suspected that stress diarrhea or stress constipation may be at fault. But can stress cause diarrhea, really? Unfortunately, yes it can. You’re not imagining it. Many people have that experience where stress causes irregularity of their bowels. If instant diarrhea isn’t bad enough, these episodes often happen at the most undesirable locations, such as work, school, or a public place where you have to seek out an unfamiliar toilet. Imagine how much better you would feel if you encountered a bidet in your time of need. A bidet’s warm water not only would soothe your fiery bits, but also will wash away any unsavory after effects.
BidetMate not only assists in helping things along in the bathroom, it also helps clean up when things are moving very quickly.
