The Bidet: A Simple Upgrade to Refresh Your Bathroom
Looking for bathroom design ideas? Of course you are, that's why you're reading this blog! Whether you’re making small upgrades, going for a full overhaul, or just daydreaming from your desk, a bathroom renovation can make a big difference in the feel of your home (and your skin-care routine). So it’s no wonder that along with the kitchen, this practical space often takes top priority when it comes time to remodel. But choosing a brand-new look isn’t always easy.
One way to easily upgrade your bathroom is to add a bidet attachment to your current toilet. Most people, when thinking of bidets, have a traditional stand-alone model in mind. One that is separate from the toilet that perhaps they have seen in Europe while on holiday, and that they have no idea how to use. Modern bidets are actually integrated within the toilet itself – sometimes as part of the toilet itself, or part of the toilet seat, or even as an attachment.
New bidet models simplify the installation process, acting as add-ons to standard toilets and connect directly to a fresh water line.
“It's a supplement to your existing toilet. No need to replace the throne,” Lotrecchiano says, describing models that “slide underneath” the toilet seat and others that replace the existing toilet seat and “provide instant warm water with custom washes, a heated seat, nightlight and tons of other features all controlled by a wireless remote.”
Adding the upgrade of a bidet to your bathroom is simple. It’s an easy installation, but has the appearance that an actual laborious remodel occurred. More so than a new faucet or new fixtures, you and your guests will immediately notice a bidet’s presence. Bidets are an affordable and modern upgrade that takes mere minutes to bring new life to your bathroom.
